Meet the Guild: LimitLess Guild Mobius x BlockchainSpace
Sometimes the things fall apart, and the center cannot hold. We’re living through what’s called a crypto winter. Everything is down, the crypto industry just lost somewhere past a trillion dollars or so. But it’s exactly this kind of situation that defines those who don’t make it through and who does: those who build and envision a decentralized future for all.
Last week, we hosted a guild meetup featuring LimitLess Guild Mobius(LLG), in partnership with DSH Manila, Metasports, and PDAX. It wasn’t just another guild meetup though, to say the least. It was a meeting of the finest minds in the Philippines’ crypto space.
LimitLess Guild Mobius is a play-and-earn platform with a gamer-centric mission, working in the P2E space to enable gamers to feel a sense of belonging to its community and organization, one that strives to sustain scholar education initiatives by harnessing game-based insights for real life skills.
This kind of vision is why we partnered with LLG, and now we’re seeing exactly why their name is apt: their guild unlocks the potential of its scholars beyond just blockchain gaming.
The event started off a little later than expected due to the heavy downpour across the metro. Despite the weather, everyone enjoyed the food and drinks as the discussions and presentations flowed.
Hermie, General Manager at LLG, shared the guild’s humble beginnings and his personal journey towards scaling their efforts into the metaverse. He shared the heartwarming story of how he was inspired by Lucas Low, co-founder and investor at LLG, to unlock his own limitless potential. He went on to share what LLG is striving to achieve in coming years: educational initiatives for the guild’s scholars, the guilds current efforts at scaling and transitioning to become a macroguild.
Ron, Head of Operations at MetaSports.GG, came up next with a talk on the current state of esports and metaverse guilds. He went through how esports has evolved in recent years and what MetaSports is doing to arrive at a brand new intersection for the esports and metaverse gaming industry. Ron shared his ideas on how esports and Web3 share the same spirit, and how despite the current bear cycle, the future is bright for guilds and gamers in the X to earn space.
Pat, Head of Metaverse at PDAX, followed through with a brief analysis of the so-called crypto winter, acknowledging Ron’s insights. He then shared how their work at PDAX is helping open and shape a decentralized future by building products and introducing fully-compliant crypto features to a wide audience, including crypto-fiat ramps to help guilds like LLG scale their efforts in the burgeoning Web3 gaming and metaverse space.
They then transitioned to an on-the-spot AMA with Hermie, with the two sharing their thoughts and critical opinions on what’s been happening in the crypto industry and how LLG sees the current situation as an opportunity to scale and build.
The discussions throughout the event were a sure-fire way to start conversations, which flowed on to the after-party. We caught up with some peers in the industry as well. Among the attendees were Spraky of YGG Pilipinas & AxU, Ismael of Ownly, Arpo & James of YGG Alerts, JC, Kharl, & Pauliza of BreederDAO, and SkyMavis. As the event came to a close, the rain seemed to coincide, subsiding as the attendees went out with hearts and minds refreshed.
We wish to thank everyone who went to our guild meetup and made the event a surefire success. Despite the crypto winter, we hold strong, build forward, and keep our visions sharp, paving the way for a decentralized future into the metaverse.
This is the first among many more Meet the Guild events we have lined up, alongside more IRL events with varying themes and topics, so stay tuned on our socials for updates and info!
